Biography:

John Walker, portrayed by Wyatt Russell, is introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Selected by the U.S. government, he is appointed as the new Captain America following Steve Rogers' retirement.

Walker is a decorated soldier with a distinguished military career, earning multiple honors and medals. However, unlike Rogers, Walker possesses a darker, more aggressive approach to justice. He struggles to live up to the legacy and expectations placed upon him.

His pursuit of apprehending the Flag Smashers, fueled by a desire to prove himself, leads him down a morally questionable path. He eventually takes the Super Soldier Serum, enhancing his physical abilities but also amplifying his flaws and insecurities. His actions result in the public murder of a Flag Smasher, causing his dishonorable discharge.

Following his dismissal, Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine recruits him. She offers him a new purpose, re-branding him as U.S. Agent, seemingly setting him up for future involvement in government-sanctioned, morally ambiguous missions within the MCU.
